IoT in pure form

ESP32 is IoT WiFi/BLE/Ethernet development board with Power Over Ethernet IEEE 802.3 compliant, including pre-standard (legacy) PoE support based on Si3402-B chipset. Perfect solution for connection of IoT sensors and actuators taking power from Ethernet cable.

Chip used to provide PoE power is TPS2375PW - it works with passive PoE 48V (well, it will start from 37V), won’t work with 24V PoE system.

If You want to get better range or place module inside metal case - then similar module, ESP32-POE-EA, with Ethernet, PoE and WiFi with external antenna can be used.

As for October 2024 we sell boards in revision L or later (so with mount holes).

No galvano isolation between power lines of USB and PoE!

Important notice: ESP32-POE has no galvano isolation from Ethernet’s power supply, when you program the board via the micro USB connector the Ethernet cable should be disconnected (if you have power over the Ethernet cable)! Consider using Olimex USB-ISO to protect your computer and board from accidental short circuit.
