Yes, we have few of them. Our customer doesn’t need them in own project anymore, so we have bought them back. Maybe there will one more batch available, but this is it. If You need boards, buy some spares!

Not recommended for new designs/projects! Due to problems with chip supply PJRC does not recommend Teensy LC to use in new projects. There can be problems with availability and price will be probably higher.

Teensy LC - ARM module, compatible with Arduino IDE, rich features

Teensy LC (Low Cost) it is great, small (thumb size) development board, Arduinno compatible. It has 27 digital IO, enough for most of Your projects. 13 of them can work as analog inputs (measuring voltage), 10 are PWM capable (for LED dimming and controlling motor speed). 10 inputs can works as touch operated in buttons, 1 output is analog (for audio signals).

Programming is very simple, as easy as with Arduino. You can use Arduino IDE (just install Teensyduino connect micro-USB cable and You are ready to start!

Teensy LC - nerdy details

Board is built with low power ARM Corten M0+ processor, working at 48 MHz. This board will be much faster than Arduino, especially when You have to deal with 16 and 32 bit numbers. In case Your project requires a lot math then ARM Cortex M4 based Teensy 3.1 will be better choice.

How small are Teensy boards?

Currently, the Teensy family includes 7 boards. Two of them are based on the 8-bit AVR microcontrollers, the remaining 5 boards have a modern 32-bit ARM family chips. Boards dimensions:

  • Teensy 2.0 - 30 x 18 mm
  • Teensy++ 2.0 - 50 x 18 mm
  • Teensy LC - 36 x 18 mm
  • Teensy 3.2 - 36 x 1.8 mm
  • Teensy 3.5 - 61 x 18 mm
  • Teensy 3.6 - 61 x 18 mm
  • Teensy 4.0 - 36 x 1.8 mm
  • Teensy 4.1 - 61 x 18 mm
