Once again, silicone proves to be humanity’s best friend! We’ve long offered a variety of DS18B20 sensors, most of which are waterproof and come with cables of various lengths. Although the sensor itself can measure temperatures up to 125°C, the cables were coated with PVC. This means that even though the probe can handle 125°C, the cable maxes out at 85°C before giving up.
That’s why we’re introducing waterproof DS18B20 sensors with silicone-coated cables. These new cables can withstand up to 200°C, allowing the sensor to work reliably across its entire temperature range.
You can use a library to operate the sensor – complete with example code – available on the Nettigo Academy.
If you need a DS18B20 sensor with a known address – we can check it for you. Just add the sensor and the address check service to your cart, and we’ll ship it with a label attached.
