Replacements

This module can be replaced by LCD-1759 - it has the same size, and number of LEDs. LCD-1759 does not have mounting holes on PCB.

3.3 V logic and WS281x:

All WS281x LED require it’s control signal to be in logic 5V. If You connect them to any µc with logic 3.3V (ESP8266/ESP32) You should use logic level converter to convert control signal to 5V levels. Even LED work in Your circuit without logic level converter that may change with moment. Slight higher load, lower supply voltage and You LEDs stop working.

Always use logic level converter with µc working in 3.3V logic when using WS281x.
