Estimated shipping - mid-October

Currently, the estimated availability date is mid-October 2025. We’re missing the Teensy 4.0, which is the brains of the kit. SparkFun currently promises availability for the modules by the end of September, but we can’t guarantee anything until they ship to us. If you add a product to your cart along with other products, the entire order will be held until all the parts arrive.
This acronym stands for Digital Noise Measurement Sensor – an open-source project developed by Helmut Bitter and closely associated with the Sensor Community.
The NAM DNMS kit is our attempt to make the project available as an extension to the NAM. It’s simply a DNMS on a dedicated PCB compatible with the NAM.
The kit requires soldering. One SMD component (a JST socket for connecting the microphone), but soldering it is not beyond the reach of someone who has already soldered a NAM. The kit includes almost all the components needed to run DNMS on the NAM. The only unresolved issue is protection from wind (noise from gusts of wind) and rain (clogging the microphone). We suggest using a sponge/paint roller as a temporary solution while we look for better protection for the microphone.
