Connect devices/sensors working with 3.3V logic to Arduino.

Replaced by: Logic Level Converter Bi-Directional, 4 channels

Converter allowing safe connection between Arduino (5V logic) with devices working with 3.3V logic.

Do I need this?

Electronic devices uses voltage levels to describe 0s and 1s. Depending on power voltage usually we have two most common standards 3.3V and 5V. If one device works with 3.3V it may happen that connecting it directly with device where 1 is marked with 5V may damage 3.3V device. Logic level converter translates voltages, allowing safe communication between two standards.

We carry also bidirectional converter for I2C and SMB buses.

Starting from Dec 6th 2013 we sell update version of this converter. It is drop in replacment, it fixes some edge cases when conversion from 5V to 3.3V was not done correctly.
