Thermal Printer CSN-A2L with Serial TTL and USB interface

They say paper can handle anything.

And they are probably right.

This thermal printer makes it easy to turn a stream of zeros and ones into a clean black-and-white printout. It supports text, barcodes, and even specially prepared graphics. The device is very similar to printers commonly found in cash registers, payment terminals, ATMs, queue management systems, and similar equipment. Easy integration makes it a perfect addition to any project where information needs to be stored in printed form.

Interface update

Starting with the May 2026 delivery, the printer interface has changed. Previously it only supported TTL (TX/RX from virtually any microcontroller). TTL is still available, but now USB support has been added as well. The USB connector is a rather uncommon XH socket, so the printer includes a USB A ↔ XH cable.

The printer uses thermal paper with a width of 57 mm. It supports rolls with a maximum diameter of 39 mm. Compared to the earlier A2 version, the A2L printer differs only in the upper part of the housing. The lid is larger, the LED indicator has been integrated into the button, and the paper compartment now features rounded cutouts that make inserting and removing paper rolls easier. In our opinion, this version is more convenient to use.

The printer operates from 5V to 9V DC power (a 12V version is also available on request). The communication interface in this version is TTL Serial. This makes it an excellent choice for direct connection to a microcontroller.
